Every Teardrop is a Waterfall

One of the things I love most about Coldplay is how they create a sort of “look” for each era of their career – an overall visual aesthetic, from album art to videos to concert wear – that both reflects and informs the band’s music, like the military vibe of Viva la Vida. And I’m really digging the uber-colorful, graffiti influence of this new Mylo Xyloto era, on full display in this video for lead single “Every Teardrop is a Waterfall.”

The song itself is one of the band’s most joyous and sonically enthralling songs ever, and the video’s riot of color matches the song’s joy perfectly. It’s quite the introduction to what looks to be one of Coldplay’s best albums yet.
